Christenings

A place of celebration and new life.

Throughout the year, both infant and adult baptisms are performed at the Priory, and it’s the perfect location to bring family and friends together to celebrate a new life. The priest pours water over the candidate as a sign of washing away past wrongs and entering a new life, reflecting Jesus’ own commitment at his baptism in the River Jordan. More recently, there has been an increasing number of candidates coming as adults, choosing to make a personal and public commitment to faith.

A Christening is a special and happy event, as we come together as a community to celebrate and give thanks for the gift of life. Christenings are open to everyone, both in our local community and afar.

To enquire about holding a Christening at the Priory, please fill out our contact form and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
