How to find us:
Travelling by car or bus:
Leave the M6 at junction 36 and follow A591 and then A590 signposted Barrow for about 12 miles. Shortly after passing under a footbridge, take a left turn signposted Cartmel. Follow the signs down into the village and make a right turn between Cockles in Cartmel Premier shop and the Pig & Whistle pub. With the Priory now in view, continue down that road, turn right at the end and follow the road through the village until you come to the Cartmel Village Shop. Take the lane to the left of the shop and you will come to the Cartmel Racecourse car park.
Parking:
On Sundays there is parking available at the Cartmel Primary School car park, where we have arranged parking spaces just a few minutes walk away.
On weekdays, there is plenty of space in the nearby Cartmel Park which is part of The Holker Estate Racecourse.
Travelling by Rail:
On weekdays there is an approximately hourly train service to and from Grange-over-Sands, the nearest junction with the West Coast main line being at Lancaster.
Cartmel is approximately two miles from Grange-over-Sands and you can get there by bus or by taxi from the railway station.
