Silence in The Priory on Friday 3rd May at 5.30pm
The Priory is rooted in the powers of communal silence and meditation. If you feel overwhelmed or just need a space to breathe, why not come along to one of our communal ‘Silence’ sessions which run every Friday at 5:30pm for 25 minutes. It is open to people of all faiths and none.
It can be a powerful experience to meet together to meditate. There is a spiritual power that comes from people meeting together in Silence. Meditating together is a key hallmark of spiritual friendship.
It is transforming when people meditate in Silence together on a regular basis coming together to turn to the spiritual centre beyond ourselves that which we call ‘other.’ Our time of Silence has the potential to recognise a third presence, a spiritual presence, in our midst.
Silence stops words getting in the way and takes us to a place that goes far beyond the spoken word.
