Services
Prayer and worship are the heartbeat of Priory life. You’re welcome to attend any of our regular services, and you can join in as much or as little as you like. Wherever you come from and whatever your beliefs, the Priory is a safe place for you.
Well over 1,000 services take place at the Priory every year. Today people seek to follow in the footsteps of the Augustinian Monks to participate in worship. The Priory offers services that range in style and length from very simple acts of worship to larger, more ceremonial occasions. These are open to all and if you are a first time visitor from this country, or from abroad, you are especially welcome. A special place for those special days, the Priory is also the perfect venue to celebrate a wedding, blessing or christening, or to hold a funeral for a loved one’s passing.
If you’re unable to come down to the Priory, we offer a ‘pray for someone’ service where you can send us a personal message, which is then handwritten onto a prayer card at the church. These cards are gathered and a candle is lit for each one. We also offer home communion for those in the village who can’t make it to our services in person. Please get in touch using the contact form if you’re interested.
