1st – 11th November ‘In Memoriam’ for ‘Remembrance’

LEST WE FORGET

An opportunity to commemorate those friends and family who served their country in the Great War 1914 -18

From 1st – 11th November, the Priory will host a display of personal memorabilia provided by friends and family members of those who were actively involved in service during the events of WW1. This will accompany the opening of a Book of Commemoration in the Priory which will be available during the same period to record the names of those you might wish to remember,  who served in any way during the Great War; and where possible to record the manner/places of service.  For each name entered it is hoped that a suitable donation will be placed in the donations globe, from which The Royal British Legion will derive benefit.

Special Prayers will be offered for those so remembered during the Priory’s ‘Great War’ Commemoration Service, which replaces Choral Evensong at 3.30pm on Sunday 11th November.

(Anyone able to contribute memorabilia for the display, please contact Dianne Holroyd via diamag123@hotmail.com)
