Travelling through time with our Virtual Reality experience.

With a passion for sharing stories of the past, we were looking for a new way for guests to experience our 800-year history. What better way than with Virtual Reality?

VR is at the forefront of innovative visitor attractions in the UK, so it was our objective to provide an experience that would draw new audiences to the Priory.

In this immersive experience, ‘The Young Martyr’ takes the Priory’s visitors on a journey through the time of the reformation and King Henry VIII, with hand-drawn illustrations inspired by marionettes, shadow puppets and animation bringing the rich history of the Priory to the present. The experience features professional voiceovers and a bespoke soundtrack, all of which can be enjoyed via our custom-built gaming pod that sits as a permanent installation in the church.
