Keeping a piece of history alive.

Donations have kept the Priory running for more than 800 years, and with your help, we hope to keep it running for 800 more. The Priory receives no funding for the day-to-day running of the church, and so we rely on the generous donations of the public to maintain this incredible building. Whether it’s for building restoration or smaller maintenance projects, every donation helps to keep this piece of history alive.

As well as one-off donations, it is also possible to leave a legacy to the Priory in your will. These donations can be dedicated to the ‘Fabric Trust Fund’ which helps maintain the very fabric and structure of the building, allowing you to leave your mark in a more permanent way.

So far, your donations have helped us with: the re-roofing of the nave; re-building of the organ; replacement of lead on the tower; repairs to the heating system and windows; and the provision of new lighting, furniture, carpets, and more. We’re now planning for renovation of our pews and font, as well as an upgraded kitchen and on-site facilities.

If you have any questions about donations and where they go, please fill out our contact form and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
